Lessonbee offers NYSCATE members Free Mental Health Curriculum Access

We at Lessonbee were thrilled to attend the NYSCATE annual conference last month in Rochester and meet with many of you.  It was helpful for us to learn about the challenges you face with providing high quality health education in your districts. We heard things like there's not enough curriculum time, stakeholders don't see it as a priority, and students lack devices and high-speed Internet.

While each of you are at different stages in addressing these challenges, all of you recognize how important it is for young people to have access to high quality health education, now more than ever. We heard this loud and clear and are grateful for your commitment.

High quality health education is holistic, student-centered, and relevant. It's always up to date and delivered with consistency and credibility. It affirms student identities and amplifies student voice. It achieves wellness outcomes and prepares students to be healthy independent learners.

We are proud to announce that we are providing free access to our mental health curriculum for all NYSCATE members for the remainder of this school year!

We believe that by partnering with NYSCATE and district wellness centers, teaching centers, and BOCES across the state, we can eliminate the longstanding barriers to providing consistent and culturally responsive sustaining health and wellness education for every child.

To opt-in to this free program, please fill out the Free Online Mental Health Education Access Form and our instructional support team will get your account setup. You'll receive logins to access the platform and curriculum, followed by an invitation to schedule a 20-minute onboarding call.

NYSCATE Welcomes Lessonbee to Corporate Council for 2021-22

NYSCATE is proud to announce that Lessonbee has become the newest member of our Corporate Council for 2021-2022.

As schools and districts are searching for innovative solutions to promote health, wellness, and social emotional learning, Lessonbee provides the comprehensive online health education necessary for young people to learn, grow, and thrive through this pandemic and beyond.

Lessonbee is a cloud-based Content Library with teaching and learning tools designed to support health education and social emotional learning across the curriculum. Lessonbee provides culturally relevant educational content that increases health knowledge and skills, promotes connection, and inspires healthy living. In addition to providing a supplemental digital health education curriculum for grades 6 - 12, the Lessonbee platform measures student health and school climate via emoji-based assessments and delivers health analytics via its proprietary HealthIQ dashboard. It also offers teachers the ability to manage learning activities including tasks, homework, quizzes, Q&A, and reflections. Lessonbee integrates with Schoology, Classlink, and Google Classroom, making adoption seamless for schools and districts.
