Join NYSCATE Corporate Council member Edmentum at 11 am ET on December 9 for the final part of a three-part webinar series on including social-emotional learning practices for you and your students.
Join us as we explore the alignment of social justice and social-emotional learning with touch points on cultural issues, LGBTQ+, and inclusion. You will develop a deeper understanding of how to create space in your classroom and curriculum for all your students.
Session 3 - Social Justice, will focus on how to explore the impact and opportunity of SEL and social justice and identify barriers and opportunities for equity and inclusion.

Susanna Halliday Miller is Program Consultant at Edmentum. In her prior work, she served as lead project designer, master teacher, and Senior Program Officer of Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms. In this unique role, she designed, refined, and delivered yearlong professional learning for educators across the United States, and internationally, to globalize teaching and learning curricula. Susanna is a National Board-Certified teacher and spent twelve years as an English Language Arts and History teacher in Oakland, CA, Seattle, WA, and Moscow, Russia. Susanna is a passionate educator committed to creating civil and inclusive school communities and dedicated to transforming classrooms into global learning environments rich with high expectations, 21st-century skills, and personalized learning.
