2024 NYSCATE CoSN CTO Clinic

NYSCATE and CoSN will be hosting a CTO Clinic on May 23, 2024, in Cortland, NY for all technology leaders. The past few years have changed the impact that technology leaders, like Superintendents, District Administrators, Principals, CTOs, IT Directors, Network Admins, etc., have had in their schools, districts, and communities. We want to use this time to learn from our peers on practices that have been enabled to help advance teaching and learning with technology during the last few years.

Join NYSCATE and CoSN for our annual CTO Clinic on May 23, 2024, in Cortland, NY as we learn and celebrate on "Being an Effective CTO".

Being a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in the K-12 education sector requires a unique blend of technical prowess, visionary leadership, and a deep understanding of educational needs. As technology continues to evolve at a rapid pace, the role of the CTO has become increasingly vital in shaping the future of learning environments. To excel in this position and truly make a difference, one must not only possess a strong foundation in IT infrastructure and digital innovation but also foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and adaptability within the educational community. Aspiring to become a "comfortable" CTO in K-12 involves not only mastering the intricacies of technology integration but also navigating the complex landscape of educational policies, budget constraints, and diverse stakeholder interests, all while ensuring the seamless integration of technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
