NYSCATE 2025-26 Board of Directors Election
The NYSCATE Board of Directors is a dynamic group of volunteers that leads the direction of the association. The Board consists of 9 Regional Directors, 6 At-Large Directors, and 1 Corporate Council member. Regional directors represent their specific region of the state while At-Large directors can represent a statewide area. Each director serves a three-year term while the Corporate Council member is elected annually.

- 2 At-Large Directors
- 1 New York City Regional Director
- 1 North Country Regional Director
- 1 Southern Tier Regional Director
- 1 Corporate Council Director ( Election happens separately)
The election of directors will take place by a vote of regular members in good standing. Anticipated vacancies are announced to the membership by no later than Feb 15. Applications for the vacant positions are due to the Corporate Office by no later than March 15. By no later than April 15, the Nominating Committee announces the slate of candidates for the vacant director positions to the Board of Directors. The Board accepts the slate of candidates in whole or in part and ratifies the final slate of candidates by April 30. On May 15 the final slate is announced to the membership and the electronic voting system is active. On May 31st the electronic voting system is closed and the results are tabulated. The election results are announced during the Board of Directors Annual Meeting (usually in June) and announced to the membership. A director shall hold office until his or her term is up or until s/he resigns or is removed from office as pursuant to Section 4 hereunder.

- February: Anticipated vacancies and the candidate application will be posted on the NYSCATE website by February 15th.
- March: Candidate applications are due by no later than March 15th.
- April: Nominating Committee Chair will inform the applicants of the accepted slate of candidates by April 30th.
- May: Electronic Voting takes place May 15th-May 31st by all NYSCATE Members
- June: Election results are reported during the Board of Directors Annual Meeting and announced to the candidates and membership following that meeting.
- July 1: Term Begins
