Each year, NYSCATE recognizes outstanding work done by New York educators with our five awards: Lee Bryant Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award, Outstanding Leader of the Year Award, and Superintendent of the Year Award, Empire Educator, and the NYSCATE Volunteer Hall of Fame.  These awards recognize members who have implemented or demonstrated the use of technology to improve education in an outstanding manner in their specific role. Empire Award

The Empire Award, established in 2023 by NYSCATE, is inspired by the ISTE "Making It Happen" Award, with a focus on New York. This honor recognizes exceptional individuals who make a transformative impact on their communities, going above and beyond to inspire and lead. Recipients embody innovative use of technology, relationship-driven teaching, and a commitment to empowering others to achieve lasting change.
