Rod Serling Video Festival

Title: Rod Serling Video Festival

Presenter: Lawrence Kassan

The Rod Serling Video Festival, a K-12 student video festival started in 1995 to promote the creative use of video technology in both the home and classroom, has been steadily gaining in popularity among students, educators, and parents throughout the state of New York. Whether it is a comedy, drama, or animated work one thing you can be sure of… you will be both inspired and amazed at the quality of work being performed by these young people.

The presentation will include screening of award winning student produced videos from previous year’s (each video is 5 minutes or less), a discussion on the creative process, information about entering the festival, and the various prize and award categories. Educators will also see how to team with the Rod Serling Video Festival to initiate a video program at your school or to compliment any existing video production classes already in progress. Opportunities for Distance Learning Broadcasts or site visits will be discussed.
