Apple Teacher Basics is an exciting one day workshop that is designed to get educators up to speed with creating, publishing, and curating digital learning materials using Apple technologies. Led by an experienced Apple Education Trainer, you’ll learn how to:
• Make effective use of iPad or Mac as a tool for learning and teaching. Extensive time will be spent leveraging the native apps that are free on all devices and robust in supporting classroom activities.
• Create and experiment with a variety of interactive learning activities to foster critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity.
• Explore the iBooks Store and App Store to locate and select valuable resources appropriate to your instructional needs.
• Learn the steps to earn Apple Teacher Certification through preparation activities which build your own skills while also engaging students in your classroom!
Participants should bring an iPad running iOS 12 that they can install apps on to the workshop and are encouraged to bring a Mac if they have one and would like to use it as part of the day’s activities.
