Dr. Leanna Prater is a Solutions Architect at LEGO® Education. In this role, she helps provide content area-expertise, thought leadership, and strategic solutioning to support activities specific to the instructional goals and program needs of LEGO Education customers. Prior to joining LEGO® Education, she taught in the elementary grades, served as a District Technology Resource Teacher for Fayette County Public Schools in Lexington, KY, and still occasionally serves as an adjunct professor teaching a graduate class on coding for teachers. Leanna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Charleston, a Masters of Arts in Education/Gifted Education from Georgetown College, and a Doctorate of Education in Curriculum and Administration with a focus on Instructional Systems Design from the University of Kentucky. In 2015, she was named Kentucky Outstanding Technology Leader by the Kentucky Society of Technology Education. As an advocate for STEM and computer science for all, she supports classroom teachers and students in areas such as robotics and creative computing and helps organize Scratch Educator meetups in her area.

Tom O’Connell is the Chief Partnerships Officer at Mouse, a national education nonprofit, where he has worked for 6 years. Tom is a facilitator for Exploring Computer Science, with projects in NYC and South Carolina supported by the National Science Foundation. He developed professional training for Google CS First, Facebook’s TechStart Initiative, and he consults on several curriculum and leadership projects for the NYC Department of Education’s Computer Science For All Initiative. Tom coaches and consults with school and district leaders across the country as a facilitator for the CSForAll Initiative’s SCRIPT workshop. Tom is a frequent speaker and workshop presenter at events, including SXSW EDU, AERA, SIGCSE, CSTA, Tech Inclusion, NSTA, and Infosys CrossRoads, among others, on a variety of CS and STEM education-related topics. He is a former computer science teacher and school district curriculum leader.

Meredith Summs is the Sr. Director of After School and Informal Learning at Mouse, a national non-profit organization fostering greater diversity and humanity in STEM and Computer Science through innovative programs for teens and professional development for educators serving primarily Black and brown youth. For the past several years, she has led the cross-institutional, multi-generational steering committee that oversees the implementation of the annual Emoti-Con NYC Youth Digital Media and Technology Challenge. She leads the development of the hybrid digital learning platform, Mouse Create, which reaches over 15,000 youth annually. Over her 10+ years as an informal educator, Meredith has taught diverse creative technology topics including physical computing, web literacy, coding, design thinking, assistive and adaptive technology, IT, media-making, and game design. Meredith was selected as an inaugural member of the MozillaNetwork50, recognizing the most devoted and impactful community members vital to promoting openness, innovation, and opportunity on the web.
