Join NYSCATE Corporate Council member BrainPOP at 11 am ET on Tuesday, August 18 for this engaging hour-long webinar on BrainPOP and their efforts to help you get ready for back-to-school.    

Dr. Kari Stubbs and Robert Miller of BrainPOP will demonstrate how to make rigorous learning experiences accessible and engaging for all, including strategies to help you leverage BrainPOP to build background knowledge, develop creative projects, and assess student learning. We will also share custom BrainPOP content alignments from District 75’s summer learning program, efficacy evidence of BrainPOP’s effectiveness in New York, and a look at our ISTE Seal of Alignment. 


Dr. Kari Stubbs, VP Learning & Innovation @karistubbs

Dr. Stubbs began her career as an elementary educator and has contributed her leadership to the industry through her role at BrainPOP as well as contributions on a host of education boards (ISTE, EdCamp, SXSWedu). She has received the "Making It Happen" Award, the Presidential Community Service Award, was recognized as "20 to Watch," and Microsoft's Education VP twice named her a Global Hero in Education. Kari earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum with a minor in Administration from the University of Kansas.

Robert Miller, Lead Learner @robrtmiller

Robert Miller serves as BrainPOP's Lead Learner, providing professional development to schools and districts using BrainPOP. Before joining BrainPOP, Robert taught 5th grade for 21 years in Volusia County, Florida. Robert has presented at national ed-tech conferences, science expos, and STEM events, highlighting his belief that instruction should be open-ended and student-directed.
