David Jakes

Mr. Jakes enthusiastically serves as the Coordinator of Instructional Technology at Glenbrook South High School this year. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge about instructional technology and looks forward to forging a strong bond between the library and instructional technology as he leads the advancement of 21st century literacy at Glenbrook South High School. Mr. Jakes was the 2006 co-finalist for the Illinois Computing Educators' Technology Educator of the Year award and was recognized in the Illinois State Board of Education's Those Who Excel program. He was named an Access Excellence Fellow by the National Science Teachers' Association and has been a Tandy Technology Scholar semi-finalist for two years.
