Saturday 6 Hour Workshops
SAT FD-1 160250 Presenter: David Jakes, Community High School, District 99 Welcome to the Human Network: An Introduction to Web 2.0 Web 2.0, or the Read/Write Web, changes everything. Blogs, wikis, podcasting, social bookmarking and the learning networks of the new Web are beginning to have a profound effect on how learning takes place in schools. But it's not about the tools; it's about learning. With that in mind, this session examines examples of best practice with these tools, and provides examples from around the world where these tools have amplified learning, and have done so successfully. This presentation also addresses assessment strategies and provides teachers with a methodology for determining how well each tool impacts student achievement. tag: nyscate07ho01
