Do you have the next great edtech idea for the classroom? Or are you a someone who likes to take ideas and “hack” them for your teaching projects?  So… how about joining a pre-conference event where teachers work in teams to identify a problem in education, propose a solution and create your Great Idea in Edtech. This will work along the “Shark Tank” framework that will have these elements:

  • Pitch an idea in 1 minute.

  • Put together a team to start developing the idea.

  • Do a formal team presentation in front of a panel of #Edtech Judges.

  • Winning proposal gets recognition during the Awards Ceremony at NYSCATE 2018 and Free Conference Registration to ISTE 2019 (Philadelphia), an interview on Coffee with a Geek, and 10 hours of professional development to support the development of your idea.

Dates: Saturday - 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. & Sunday - 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Cost: There is no cost to participate in the hack-a-thon, but participants must register for the conference
