Jen Laubscher began her career as a 3rd Grade Teacher in Central NY, and has spent the last 7 years as a leader in her region in the areas of instructional design, instructional technology, group facilitation and professional development. She has a passion for professional development that facilitates district transformation, as well as individual professional growth. Currently, Jen works as a Technology Integration Specialist at MORIC.
Jen discovered her passion for instructional and educational technology while she served as an Itinerant Computer Education Specialist, at the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation (Citi), supporting component school districts in Oswego County to provide computer, technology and instructional leadership to teachers, administrators and staff. She co-designed two major district initiatives that focused on improving pedagogical practices to meet the needs of today’s learners through blended learning and PBL, and that made mobile learning available to rural students in grades K-12.
As an active member of the New York State Association for Computers and Technologies in Education (NYSCATE), Jen served on the NYSCATE Annual Conference Planning Committee, as the Social Media Chair, since 2010-2016, and has been an the Board of Directors since 2012.
Jen is a NYS certified teacher with a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling, both earned at SUC at Oswego.
My professional passion is making educational connections & helping teachers move innovative ideas forward. My passion for educational technology lies with helping teachers provide the most robust learning experience for all students through technology integration and creative exploration.
